In No Man's Land, by G.M. Ford, Frank Corso is finally on his own. In Red Tide, his companion, Meg Dougherty, finally left him for good. I found Red Tide to be a great book with one of its only faults being the way that Meg leaves. While her presence is definitely missed in No Man's Land, Ford manages to make the book gripping despite it/5(5).   In No Man's Land, the captain of the flight tells the full story for the first time. It's a gripping, blow-by-blow account of how, along with his co-pilots, Sullivan relied on his elite military training to land the gravely malfunctioning plane and narrowly avert what could have been a horrific air disaster.

NO MAN’S LAND is David Baldacci’s fourth book in his very successful John Puller series. I can say without a doubt this is the best of the series. Two parallel stories keep the reader’s interest through the first half, merging seamlessly by the middle of the book/5(K).

"This book has renewed my faith that the end-game is worth the challenging journey. I'll re-read and reference No Man's Land like I do Good to Great." —SKEETTER McCORKLE, president of McCorkle Nurseries (an emerging growth company) "No Man's Land is invaluable. I wish every CEO seeking funding from venture capitalists would read it."/5(33).

"The story of the extraordinary women who ran the 'Suffragettes' Hospital' is visceral, timely, urgent, and spellbinding. Wendy Moore's book is utterly involving and deeply thought-provoking, and all I can do is urge you to read it."—Helen Castor, author of She-Wolves "No Man's Land is an extraordinary story, and beautifully told."—Brand: Basic Books.

No Man’s Land reminds us that people can rise to an occasion, that the biggest advances — for medicine, for humanity — can come during the toughest times, as a result of the toughest times.

It reminds us that great courage and great ingenuity are possible even when the world feels very dark.4/4(8). “No Man’s Land” is the fascinating and relevant true story of how a Qantas flight crew prevented disaster when rogue flight control computers on their Airbus A suddenly commanded pitch-downs twice.

Written by incident-pilot Captain Kevin Sullivan, the book delivers a comprehensive and well-written explanation of what caused the Reviews:   “No Man’s Land” tells the story of the Endell Street Military Hospital, which treated the casualties of war pouring into London during World War I — and which, except for the occasional.

Unfortunately, the only similarity was the premise: inability of two genders co-existing in the same town/world. In the case of Nomansland, the island, Foundland, is survived by only women/5. No man's land is land that is unoccupied or is under dispute between parties who leave it unoccupied out of fear or uncertainty.

The term was originally used to define a contested territory or a dumping ground for refuse between fiefdoms. In modern times it is commonly associated with World War I to describe the area of land between two enemy trench systems, which neither side wished to cross.

A Book Spy Review: ‘No Man’s Land’ By David Baldacci Mega-famous author David Baldacci’s No Man’s Land is the latest novel in his John Puller series and a prime example of why he’s one of today’s most beloved writers.

At the heart of this novel is a tragedy that has clawed at John Puller, Baldacci’s Jack Reacher-like character. "This book, like the two preceding volumes of No Man's Land, is of absolutely paramount importance.

Together the three volumes provide a remarkable history of gender's influence on the literature of the last two centuries."—Carolyn G. Heilbrun. "No Man's Land is an absolute delight.
